Emma Henry is a September 2026 master's candidate at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, specializing in health, environment and science reporting with an audio concentration. Henry is also an intern on the Midwest Media Team at The Nature Conservancy and an incoming climate media intern at The YEARS Project.
Henry's work has been published in Block Club Chicago, Chicago Health Magazine, The Fulcrum, Planet Forward, and Medill Reports. She is interested in stories related to environmental justice, environmental policy, solutions journalism and conservation.
She previously served as a reporting intern for Circle of Blue, a general-assignment reporter for The Virginia Gazette and a W&M Reporting Fellow for the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting.
Henry graduated from the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, where she worked as a News Editor and Operations Coordinator for The Flat Hat and a Communications Assistant and Editor at the Roy R. Charles Center for Undergraduate Research. 
When she's not reporting, Henry enjoys exploring the outdoors, discovering coffee shops across Chicago's neighborhoods and pursuing her artistic hobbies.
